Science of Healthcare Congresses data - talking point at Pharma Fortbildungs-Forum

By Ashfield Meetings & Events

“Our data was hugely beneficial in underpinning and facilitating these discussions" - Fabienne Wild, Client Relationship Director.

The findings of The Science of Healthcare Congresses – our latest study focusing around the thoughts and opinions of healthcare professionals (HCPs) – became a focus of discussions at the 36th Pharma Fortbildungs-Forum (PFF) held in Cologne last week.

Client Relationship Director, Fabienne Wild, who is also an Advisory Board Member of the PFF, presented the data from the white paper at the event.

Sharing insights from over 200 global healthcare professionals and, with a focus on German healthcare professionals for the purpose of this presentation, Fabienne discussed how HCPs view congresses as part of their ongoing medical education, and how these events might need to evolve to better suit physicians’ needs.

"The Pharma Fortbildungs-Forum was the ideal time and location to highlight our extensive healthcare congress research," said Fabienne. "The focus of this year’s forum was all about the success factors for congresses in the future, and in various workshops throughout the day representatives from the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare organisations, the hotel industry and agencies discussed and analysed topics such as conference sponsorship, visionary congress formats and exhibits stand concepts. Our data was hugely beneficial in underpinning and facilitating these discussions."

Fabienne continues, “The national and international meetings industry is rapidly changing and new concepts are in demand for the future. The cooperation between pharmaceutical companies and healthcare professionals, as well as healthcare organisations, has a far-reaching and positive impact on the quality of patient care. The Pharma Fortbildungs-Forum continues this dialogue with the medical societies and all partners involved. To be able to highlight our findings at such a state-of-the-art bi-annual symposium was of significant value for anyone who is involved in healthcare congresses and events."
