We have launched a helpful and insightful resource for pharmaceutical companies and event specialists aimed at engaging healthcare professionals at medical meetings and events.

The Science Of Healthcare Professional Meetings Guidebook, available to download below, is derived from the findings of our extensive study and subsequent white paper of the same name.

Launched in February 2018, the report focused on the results of an in-depth survey of healthcare professionals (HCPs), which aimed to establish exactly how they would like to see meetings and events evolve to better-fit their educational needs. The resulting guidebook takes these findings and creates comprehensive HCP engagement strategies designed to enhance the impact and effectiveness of today’s medical meetings and events.

“Our Science Of Healthcare Professional Meetings white paper was exceptionally well-received by healthcare companies last year, as incredibly a survey as detailed as this hadn’t been done with HCPs before,” explains Gavin Houston, Ashfield Meetings & Events’ CEO, US. “We’re already seeing the insights we gained being implemented in our industry and this guidebook will only help shape the future of medical meetings further.”

Designed by our in-house Creative Team, the colourful, easy-to-read guide provides practical advice on how to deliver more meaningful and engaging HCP educational experiences. The guidebook details everything from audiences’ learning preferences and how to use them to increase interaction and connection between HCPs and Key Opinion Leaders, to ensuring HCPs have greater accessibility to the educational content and attend a meeting that delivers a return on investment.

“The truth is, HCPs have high expectations when they attend medical meetings and there is no ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution,” adds Gavin Houston. “But, there are tangible considerations and strategies that can be integrated based on their preferences. Employing these strategies enable meeting planners to deliver a truly differentiated HCP attendee experience."
