We made CMI’s ‘Top 25 meeting and live event agencies’ list for the 7th year running

By Ashfield Meetings & Events

MeetingsNet, the leading US meetings, conventions and incentive travel publisher, has included Ashfield Meetings & Events, part of UDG Healthcare plc, in the meeting industry’s only comprehensive report on the 25 largest meeting and live event agencies focused on the U.S. corporate market.

The magazine’s editors select the CMI 25 agencies based on several factors including the number of full time employees, the number of meetings and incentive travel programmes managed in 2017 and the total number of room nights that represents. Collectively, the companies on the 2018 CMI 25 list executed more than half a million corporate meetings and nearly 8,000 incentive travel programmes in 2017.

Gavin Houston (CEO US, Ashfield Meetings & Events) commented: “It is such an honour for our team to be recognised by MeetingsNet for the seventh year running. This year we launched our Science Of Healthcare Professional Meetings white paper which was a follow up study to our 2016 paper. The paper found that meetings have now overtaken professional journals and publications as physicians’ preferred medical education channel, showing how imperative it is to deliver meetings with certainty and impact. By better understanding the needs and desires of our attendees, we’re enabling our clients to achieve their clinical and commercial goals and improve lives.”

Houston continued: “We also celebrated the launch of our new website, which more accurately reflects our company’s compliance expertise and creative approach to delivering healthcare meetings and events. In addition, we made key personnel changes in both our US headquarters and Indianapolis office to support our growing business and our commitment to investing in our people.”

Houston concluded: “We are excited to continue to bring new ideas and ways of thinking to solve our clients’ challenges in the years ahead.”

The CMI 25 list is published in the September 2018 issue of MeetingsNet. We will be recognised at a CMI 25 reception at IMEX America in October. You can find our full profile here.
